why we built Sway.
Dating apps turned our community into a feed to be optimised and a market to be sold. We wanted the opposite: a real map of the people actually around you, built for connection, not extraction.
The map is the app, and the map is the point.
Open Sway and you see your community placed by real distance, not sorted by an algorithm guessing what you'll tap. The guys you see are the guys actually nearby. From there you can start a conversation, post a story, check the Wall, and make the plan.
Everything is built around a simple promise: your time, your photos, and your privacy are yours. Location is fuzzed by default. We don't sell attention, and we never will. Our community has been a product for long enough.

Sway is the first app from Polari Group, a queer software studio building thoughtful, private, beautifully made apps for the LGBTQ+ community. The name Polari comes from the coded language gay men once used to find one another when finding each other was dangerous. We carry that spirit into everything we ship.
